looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;

And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:

Only fear Jehovah, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he hath done for you.

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well- doing.

A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household!

And he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.

and shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye draw nigh this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint; fear not, nor tremble, neither be ye affrighted at them;

And it came to pass, when he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching him.

And when they sought to lay hold on him, they feared the multitudes, because they took him for a prophet.

And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man doth not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons.

And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.And he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.

And the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things; and they scoffed at him.

Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children that were crying in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were moved with indignation,and said unto him, Hearest thou what these are saying? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea: did ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest witness of thyself; thy witness is not true.

If thou faint in the day of adversity, Thy strength is small.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

And when he had said this, one of the officers standing by struck Jesus with his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might ensnare him in his talk.

and Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel; and for a sign which is spoken against;

The Jews answered and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon?Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me.

And when he was come out from thence, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press upon him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things;laying wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.

But some of them said, By Beelzebub the prince of the demons casteth he out demons.And others, trying him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

And they were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things;and they rose up, and cast him forth out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.

Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said unto him, Are we also blind?

The common people therefore of the Jews learned that he was there: and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.But the chief priests took counsel that they might put Lazarus also to death;

The Jews took up stones again to stone him.Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from the Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came( and the scripture cannot be broken),say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.But if I do them, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.They sought again to take him: and he went forth out of their hand.

And many of them said, He hath a demon, and is mad; why hear ye him?
