为此，基督作了新约的中保；因为他的死，赎了人在第一个约之时所犯的罪过，使蒙召的人能得着所应许永远的产业。

摩西把血洒在百姓身上，说：“看哪！这是立约的血，是耶和华按照这一切的命令和你们立约的凭据。”

耶和华说：“你做了什么事呢？你弟弟血的声音从地里向我哀号。

因着信，他设立逾越节，在门上洒血，免得那毁灭者加害以色列人的长子。

如今耶稣已经得了更优越的事奉，正如他作更美之约的中保；这约原是凭更美之应许立的。

因着信，亚伯献祭给上帝比该隐所献的更美，因此获得了赞许为义人，上帝亲自悦纳了他的礼物。他虽然死了，却因这信仍旧在说话。

因为只有一位上帝，在上帝和人之间也只有一位中保，是成为人的基督耶稣。

那么，我们该用诚心和充足的信心，同已蒙洁净、无亏的良心，和清水洗净了的身体来亲近上帝。

因为这是我立约的血，为许多人流出来，使罪得赦。

如此，地上所有义人流的血都归到你们身上，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在圣所和祭坛中间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止。

就是照父上帝的预知，藉着圣灵得以成圣，以致顺服耶稣基督，又蒙他血所洒的人。愿恩惠、平安多多地赐给你们！

饭后他照样拿起杯来，说：“这杯是用我的血所立的新约，为你们流出来的。

“看哪，日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新的约。这是耶和华说的。这约不像我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及地的时候与他们所立的约。我虽作他们的丈夫，他们却背了我的约。这是耶和华说的。那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的约是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上。我要作他们的上帝，他们要作我的子民。这是耶和华说的。

他又照样把血洒在帐幕和敬拜用的各样器皿上。

既是起誓立的，耶稣也作了更美之约的中保。

但愿赐平安的上帝，就是那凭永约之血，把群羊的大牧人—我们主耶稣从死人中领出来的上帝，

耶稣对他们说：“这是我立约的血，为许多人流出来的。

就是从亚伯的血起，直到被杀在祭坛和圣所中间的撒迦利亚的血为止。是的，我告诉你们，这都要向这世代的人追讨。

所以上帝指责他们说：“主说，看哪，日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新的约；

当侧耳而听，来到我这里；要听，就必存活。我要与你们立永约，就是应许给大卫那可靠的慈爱。
