緣此、彼為新約之中保、已死而贖前約時所犯之罪、使蒙召者得所許之永福、福原文作業

摩西以血灑民曰、主與爾立約、欲爾遵守此諸誡命、以此血為證、

曰、爾何為、爾弟之血、有聲自地呼籲我、

彼有信、則設逾越節、行灑血之禮、免滅伊及長子者、害及以色列人、

今所立之約更美、立約所許之福亦更美、耶穌既為此約之中保、則其所得祭司之職亦更美、

亞伯有信、獻祭於天主、較該隱為美、故蒙天主嘉其所獻而證其為義、是以雖死仍似有言、

蓋天主惟一、在天主世人之間、中保亦惟一、即降世為人之基督耶穌、

則當誠意篤信、心被灑以去惡念、身被洗以清水、而至天主前、

此乃我血、即新約之血、為眾而流、以赦罪者也、

致地上流義人之血、皆歸於爾、即自義人亞伯之血、至爾所殺於殿及祭臺間巴拉迦子撒迦利亞之血也、

即按父天主之預知蒙選、感於聖神而成聖、以致能順服耶穌基督、且得灑以其血者、願恩寵平安、多加於爾、○

餐後、取杯亦如此、曰、此杯乃新約、以我血所立、為爾流者也、

主曰、時日將至、我與以色列族、與猶大族、將立新約、非若昔與其祖所立之約、在我援手導彼出伊及地之時、我雖為其主、彼仍違背此約、或作昔我援手導其列祖出伊及之時與彼立約我雖為其主彼仍爽我約今所立之約必不若是此乃主所言、主曰、是日後、我與以色列族所將立之約即此、我將以我律法、置於其衷、銘於其心、我為彼之天主、彼為我之民、

又以血灑於幕、及祭祀諸器、

如是、則耶穌為更美之約之中保、

賜平康之天主、即曾使群羊之大牧我主耶穌基督、因永約之血由死復活者、

耶穌謂之曰、此乃我血、即新約之血、為眾所流者、

即自亞伯之血、至被殺於祭臺及殿間撒迦利亞之血、我誠告爾、此血皆必討於此代、

［經載］主責民曰、日將至、我與以色列家及猶大家、將立新約、

爾其傾耳就我而聽、則可得生、則可得生或作爾心則可蘇醒我與爾立永約、以所許大衛之恆恩恆恩或作實惠賜爾、
