For you have not come to what may be touched, a blazing fire and darkness and gloom and a tempest

你們不是來到那可觸摸的山，那裏有火焰、密雲、黑暗、暴風、

你們不是來到那可觸摸的山，那裏有火焰、密雲、黑暗、暴風、

你們並非來到那座摸得到、有火焰、烏雲、黑暗、狂風、

你們不是來到那座摸得著的山。那裡有烈火、密雲、幽暗、暴風、

因為你們上了的並不是一個可摸觸的山：那裏有燒𤏲的火、與昏黑幽冥和旋風、

你們並不是來到了摸得著的山、燃燒著的火、陰雲、幽暗、風暴、

夫爾非至可捫火炎之山、及幽冥、昏暗、暴風、

爾所至者、非有形之山、在彼火焰靉靆、幽暗暴風、

爾所至者、非彼可捫之山、在彼有烈火、密雲、幽暗、暴風、

應知爾今所陟者、非一有形之山、其上有火焰靉靆、幽冥暴風。

You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm;

You haven’t come to a mountain that can be touched. You haven’t come to a mountain burning with fire. You haven’t come to darkness, gloom and storm.

You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai.

For you have not come to what could be touched, to a blazing fire, to darkness, gloom, and storm,

For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind,

For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest,

For ye are not come unto a mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

For you have not come to what could be touched, to a blazing fire, to darkness, gloom, and storm,

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

For you have not come to something that can be touched, to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwind

For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm,

And you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, while the mountain burned with fire to the heart of heaven, wrapped in darkness, cloud, and gloom.

Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off

“ These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And he wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.And as soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders.And you said,‘ Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man, and man still live.Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, we shall die.For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of fire as we have, and has still lived?

Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel.

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”

For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.

And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying,‘ Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death.No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.”So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and consecrated the people; and they washed their garments.And he said to the people,“ Be ready for the third day; do not go near a woman.”On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled.Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain.Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder.The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.And the Lord said to Moses,“ Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to the Lord to look and many of them perish.Also let the priests who come near to the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.”

For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
