你们难道忘了那像劝勉儿子一样劝勉你们的话吗？“孩子啊，不可轻视主的管教，被祂责备的时候也不要灰心。因为主管教祂所爱的人，责罚祂收纳的儿子。”

我们这短暂轻微的苦难正在为我们成就极大无比、永远的荣耀。

但从天上来的智慧首先是纯洁，然后是爱好和平、温良柔顺、充满怜悯、多结善果、不存偏见、没有虚伪。使人和睦的人撒下和平的种子，必收获仁义的果实。

耶和华虽然重重地惩罚我，却没有置我于死地。

管教孩子宜早不宜晚，不可任由他走向灭亡。

我们的生身父亲是按自己以为好的标准暂时管教我们，但上帝是为了我们的益处而管教我们，使我们可以在祂的圣洁上有份。

喜爱你律法的人常有平安，什么也不能使他跌倒。

为此，即使现今你们必须暂时在百般试炼中忍受痛苦，也要满怀喜乐。

背离正道，必遭严惩；厌恶责备，必致死亡。

公义必带来平安，公义所结的果子是永远的和平与安宁。

但圣灵所结的果子是仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制。没有律法会禁止这些事。

干粮是给成年人吃的，他们的心思历经锻炼，能够分辨善恶。

但你要弃绝世俗、荒诞的传说，要训练自己做个敬虔的人。锻炼体魄益处还少，敬虔生活受益无穷，拥有今生和永世的应许。

我就会因他们的罪用杖惩罚他们，用鞭子责打他们。

因为上帝的国不是关乎吃什么喝什么，而是关乎公义、平安和圣灵所赐的喜乐。

他们眼中充满淫欲，不停地犯罪，引诱那些信心不坚定的人。他们贪婪成性，实在是该受咒诅！
