By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death, and he was not to be found because God took him up. For before his removal he had been commended as having pleased God.

以诺因着信，被接去，不至于见死，人也找不着他，因为神已经把他接去了；只是他被接去以先，已经得了神喜悦他的明证。

以諾有信、得不死而接於天、天主既接之、人不復見之、未接之先、已得見悅於天主之證、

伊諾被攝昇天、未嘗見死、蓋「天主攝之、人間無得而再遇、」是亦信德之效也。何則、彼於被攝之前、固已得見悅於天主之明證。

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death:“ He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Enoch had faith. So he was taken from this life. He didn’t die.“ He couldn’t be found, because God had taken him away.”( Genesis 5:24) Before God took him, Enoch was praised as one who pleased God.

When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters.The entire lifetime of Enoch was 365 years.Enoch walked with God, and then he disappeared because God took him away.

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a fiery chariot pulled by fiery horses appeared. They went between Elijah and Elisha, and Elijah went up to heaven in a windstorm.

No man can live on without experiencing death, or deliver his life from the power of Sheol.( Selah)

I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys my teaching, he will never see death.”Then the Judeans responded,“ Now we know you’re possessed by a demon! Both Abraham and the prophets died, and yet you say,‘ If anyone obeys my teaching, he will never experience death.’

Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

They said to him,“ Look, there are fifty capable men with your servants. Let them go and look for your master, for the wind sent from the LORD may have carried him away and dropped him on one of the hills or in one of the valleys.” But Elisha replied,“ Don’t send them out.”But they were so insistent, he became embarrassed. So he said,“ Send them out.” They sent the fifty men out and they looked for three days, but could not find Elijah.

Now Enoch, the seventh in descent beginning with Adam, even prophesied of them, saying,“ Look! The Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of his holy ones,

For three and a half days those from every people, tribe, nation, and language will look at their corpses, because they will not permit them to be placed in a tomb.And those who live on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate, even sending gifts to each other, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.But after three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and tremendous fear seized those who were watching them.Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them:“ Come up here!” So the two prophets went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies stared at them.

By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God’s command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible.By faith Abel offered God a greater sacrifice than Cain, and through his faith he was commended as righteous, because God commended him for his offerings. And through his faith he still speaks, though he is dead.

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to him.

but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we declare it, not to please people but God, who examines our hearts.

He also ordered Jerahmeel, who was one of the royal princes, Seraiah son of Azriel, and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest the scribe Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah. However, the LORD hid them.
