爾曹告以色列會眾云、是月初十日、各家長當為各家備一羔、若其家人少、不能食盡一羔、則與比鄰依其人數、並如其食量、同備一羔、羔當無殘疾之牡者、生未盈歲、或取自綿羊、或取自山羊、當留至是月十四日、於薄暮時、以色列會眾皆宰羔、取血塗於食羔之室、左右門柱及門楣之上、是夕當食羔之肉、乃以火炙者、與無酵餅苦菜同食之、半生者、或水烹者、俱不可食、必同首足與臟、以火炙之而食、毋有所遺、留至明日、若留至明日、則當以火燬之、食之時、當腰束帶、足納履、手持杖、急速而食、是乃主所命逾越節之羔、當是夕、我必巡行伊及地、擊伊及地諸長子、與牲畜所首生者、亦毀伊及人所拜之群神、我乃主也、血塗於爾居之室、為爾作徵、我一見此血、即逾越爾室、我在伊及地行擊時、災不及爾身以滅爾、爾曹當記憶此日、定為節期、於主前謹守、歷代守之、永為定例、

當日摩西遵律法傳諸誡於民、乃取牛羊之血和水、以絳線與牛膝草、灑於其書及民眾、

有新約之中保耶穌、及所灑之血、此血彷彿有言、較亞伯血之言尤善、

即按父天主之預知蒙選、感於聖神而成聖、以致能順服耶穌基督、且得灑以其血者、願恩寵平安、多加於爾、○
