有時候，你們在眾目睽睽之下被辱駡，受迫害；有時候，你們和遭受這樣苦難的人同舟共濟。

Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.

弟兄姊妹，你們的遭遇和猶太地區基督耶穌的眾教會的遭遇一樣。你們受到了自己同胞的迫害，他們也受到了猶太人的迫害。

然而，你們與我共患難，真是太好了。

我要把可憎之物拋在你身上，侮辱你，讓眾人觀看。

上帝啊，求你起來維護自己，別忘記愚妄人怎樣整天嘲笑你。

我對你們眾人有這樣的感受是很自然的，因為我常把你們放在心上。不論我是身在獄中，還是為福音辯護和作證的時候，你們都與我同蒙恩典。

我的遭遇使許多人感到驚駭，但你是我堅固的避難所。

主啊，我們的鄰邦羞辱你，求你以七倍的羞辱來報應他們。

因此，讓我們也走出營外到祂那裡，忍受祂所忍受的凌辱吧！

約書亞大祭司啊，你和坐在你面前的同伴們聽著，你們都是將來之事的預兆——我將使我僕人大衛的苗裔興起。

所以，你不要羞於為我們的主做見證，也不要以我這為主被囚的人為恥，要靠著上帝的能力和我一同為福音受苦。

在他眼中，為基督所受的凌辱遠比埃及的財富更有價值，因為他盼望的是將來的賞賜。

耶和華啊，你的仇敵嘲笑你所膏立的王，他們嘲笑他的一舉一動。

有些人遭受戲弄和鞭打，還有些人遭受捆鎖和囚禁。

認識公義、銘記我訓誨的人啊，聽我說。你們不要害怕人的辱罵，也不要畏懼他們的譭謗。

我對你的殿充滿炙熱的愛，辱罵你之人的辱罵都落在我身上。

願主憐憫阿尼色弗一家人，他常常鼓勵我，不以我被囚禁為恥。他在羅馬的時候千方百計尋訪我的下落，直到找著我為止。你很清楚，他從前在以弗所怎樣在各個方面服侍我。願主再來時格外地憐憫他。

因此，為了基督的緣故，我欣然面對軟弱、凌辱、迫害、艱難和困苦，因為我軟弱的時候也正是我剛強的時候。
