and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,

我們既然有一位偉大的祭司治理神的家，

我們又既有一位尊大的祭司治理上帝的家，

既然我們有一位偉大的祭司管理神的家，

且既有大祭司宰上帝家、

我得大祭司、理上帝宮、

且既有大祭司、理天主之家、

今吾人在天主宅中、既有偌大之司祭矣；

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

We also have a great priest over the house of God.

And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,

and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

and having a High Priest over the house of God,

and having a great priest over the house of God;

And[ having] an high priest over the house of God;

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

and having a great priest over God’s house,

Therefore, He had to be like His brothers in every way, so that He could become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

But if I should be delayed, I have written so that you will know how people ought to act in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Now the main point of what is being said is this: We have this kind of high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner, because He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens— Jesus the Son of God— let us hold fast to the confession.For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

Therefore, holy brothers and companions in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession;

For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.Now every house is built by someone, but the One who built everything is God.Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.But Christ was faithful as a Son over His household. And we are that household if we hold on to the courage and the confidence of our hope.

For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building.According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ.If anyone builds on that foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw,each one’s work will become obvious, for the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work.If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward.If anyone’s work is burned up, it will be lost, but he will be saved; yet it will be like an escape through fire.Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you?If anyone destroys God’s sanctuary, God will destroy him; for God’s sanctuary is holy, and that is what you are.

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the forces of Hades will not overpower it.

So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord.You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.

And what agreement does God’s sanctuary have with idols? For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said: I will dwell among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you.
