“ The new temple will be more beautiful than the first one was,” says the Lord.“ And in this place I will bring peace,” announces the Lord who rules over all.

又曰、後建之殿、榮光燭照、較先建之殿、尤為朗耀、我必錫平康於斯、萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

萬有之主曰、斯後時之殿、較前時之殿榮光更大、我必在此處賜平康、此乃萬有之主所言、○

‘ The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty.‘ And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

“ The final glory of this house will be greater than the first,” says the LORD of Armies.“ I will provide peace in this place”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

‘ The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of armies,‘ and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the Lord of armies.”

I will listen to what God the Lord says. He promises peace to his faithful people. But they must not turn to foolish ways.I know he’s ready to save those who have respect for him. Then his glory can be seen in our land.

A child will be born to us. A son will be given to us. He will rule over us. And he will be called Wonderful Adviser and Mighty God. He will also be called Father Who Lives Forever and Prince Who Brings Peace.There will be no limit to how great his authority is. The peace he brings will never end. He will rule on David’s throne and over his kingdom. He will make the kingdom strong and secure. His rule will be based on what is fair and right. It will last forever. The Lord’ s great love will make sure that happens. He rules over all.

The law that condemns people to death had glory. How much more glory does the work of the Spirit have! His work makes people right with God.The glory of the old covenant is nothing compared with the far greater glory of the new.

I have seen what they have done. But I will heal them. I will guide them. I will give those who mourn in Israel the comfort they had before.Then they will praise me. I will give perfect peace to those who are far away and those who are near. And I will heal them,” says the Lord.But those who are evil are like the rolling sea. It never rests. Its waves toss up mud and sand.“ There is no peace for those who are evil,” says my God.

And he will be our peace when the Assyrians attack our land. They will march through our forts. But we will raise up against them many shepherds. We’ll send out against them as many commanders as we need to.

The Word became a human being. He made his home with us. We have seen his glory. It is the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father. And the Word was full of grace and truth.

“ May glory be given to God in the highest heaven! And may peace be given to those he is pleased with on earth!”

Open wide, you gates. Open up, you ancient doors. Then the King of glory will come in.Who is the King of glory? The Lord, who is strong and mighty. He is the King of glory.

You know the message God sent to the people of Israel. It is the good news of peace through Jesus Christ. He is Lord of all.

Christ himself is our peace. He has made Jews and Gentiles into one group of people. He has destroyed the hatred that was like a wall between us.Through his body on the cross, Christ set aside the law with all its commands and rules. He planned to create one new people out of Jews and Gentiles. He wanted to make peace between them.He planned to bring both Jews and Gentiles back to God as one body. He planned to do this through the cross. On that cross, Christ put to death their hatred toward one another.He came and preached peace to you who were far away. He also preached peace to those who were near.

God was pleased to have his whole nature living in Christ.God was pleased to bring all things back to himself. That’s because of what Christ has done. These things include everything on earth and in heaven. God made peace through Christ’s blood, by his death on the cross.At one time you were separated from God. You were enemies in your minds because of your evil ways.

I leave my peace with you. I give my peace to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid.

There is no doubt that true godliness comes from this great mystery. Jesus came as a human being. The Holy Spirit proved that he was the Son of God. He was seen by angels. He was preached among the nations. People in the world believed in him. He was taken up to heaven in glory.

My brothers and sisters, you are believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ. So treat everyone the same.
