‘ In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts,‘ I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,’ says the Lord,‘ and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

萬軍之耶和華曰、我僕撒拉鐵子所羅巴伯歟、我已簡爾、是日我必視爾為印、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華告其僕設鐵子所羅把伯曰、我必簡爾、以爾為印、蓋爾見悅乎我、萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

萬有之主曰、我僕撒拉鐵子所羅巴伯歟、當是日我必選爾、視爾為印、因我喜悅爾、此乃萬有之主所言、

“‘ On that day,’ declares the Lord Almighty,‘ I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

“‘ Zerubbabel, at that time I will pick you,’ announces the Lord.‘ You are my servant,’ announces the Lord.‘ You will be like a ring that has my royal mark on it. I have chosen you,’ announces the Lord who rules over all.”

On that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel my servant, the son of Shealtiel, declares the Lord, and make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the Lord of hosts.”

“ But when this happens, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, I will honor you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant. I will make you like a signet ring on my finger, says the Lord, for I have chosen you. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

On that day”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you.” This is the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

‘ On that day,’ declares the Lord of armies,‘ I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, My servant,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ ” declares the Lord of armies.

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith Jehovah, and will make thee as a signet; for I have chosen thee, saith Jehovah of hosts.

On that day”— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts—“ I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, My servant”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and make you like My signet ring, for I have chosen you.” This is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

On that day,’ says the LORD who rules over all,‘ I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant,’ says the LORD,‘ and I will make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ says the LORD who rules over all.”

“ You are My witnesses,” says the Lord,“ And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.

So he answered and said to me:“ This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.‘ Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of“ Grace, grace to it!”’”Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying:“ The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”Then I answered and said to him,“ What are these two olive trees— at the right of the lampstand and at its left?”And I further answered and said to him,“ What are these two olive branches that drip into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?”Then he answered me and said,“ Do you not know what these are?” And I said,“ No, my Lord.”So he said,“ These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”

“ Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

“ As I live,” says the Lord,“ though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were the signet on My right hand, yet I would pluck you off;

THE SHULAMITE TO HER BELOVED: Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love is as strong as death, Jealousy as cruel as the grave; Its flames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame.

“ Listen, O coastlands, to Me, And take heed, you peoples from afar! Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are His,” and,“ Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,
