Then Haggai responded,“‘ The people of this nation are unclean in my sight,’ says the LORD.‘ And so is all their effort; everything they offer is also unclean.

于是哈该说：“耶和华说：这民这国，在我面前也是如此；他们手下的各样工作都是如此；他们在坛上所献的也是如此。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，‘这百姓和这国家在我面前也是如此。他们手中的各样工作和他们在那里所献的都不洁净。’

于是哈该回答，说：“耶和华说：‘这民也是这样，这国在我面前也是这样；他们手里的一切工作，都是这样；他们在那里所献的，都是不洁净的。’

於是哈該說：「耶和華說：這民這國，在我面前也是如此；他們手下的各樣工作都是如此；他們在壇上所獻的也是如此。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，在我面前這民如此，這國也是如此；他們手裏的各樣工作都是如此；他們在那裏所獻的都不潔淨。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，『這百姓和這國家在我面前也是如此。他們手中的各樣工作和他們在那裡所獻的都不潔淨。』

於是哈該回答，說：“耶和華說：‘這民也是這樣，這國在我面前也是這樣；他們手裡的一切工作，都是這樣；他們在那裡所獻的，都是不潔淨的。’

於是哈該應聲地說：『永恆主發神諭說：在我面前這人民也是這樣，這國也是這樣；他們手下的各樣農作物都是這樣：他們在這裏所供獻的都是不潔淨。

哈該曰、耶和華云、斯民斯族於我前亦若是、其手所作之工、及所獻之物、皆為不潔、

哈基又曰、耶和華曰、此國之民、其身不潔、所行之事、所獻之物、亦蒙不潔、

Then Haggai said,“‘ So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,’ declares the Lord.‘ Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.

Then here is what Haggai said.“ The Lord announces,‘ That is how I look at these people and this nation. Anything they do and anything they sacrifice on the altar is“ unclean.”

Then Haggai answered and said,“ So is it with this people, and with this nation before me, declares the Lord, and so with every work of their hands. And what they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai responded,“ That is how it is with this people and this nation, says the Lord. Everything they do and everything they offer is defiled by their sin.

Then Haggai replied,“ So is this people, and so is this nation before me— this is the LORD’s declaration. And so is every work of their hands; even what they offer there is defiled.

Then Haggai responded and said,“ ‘ So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,’ declares the Lord,‘ and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai answered and said,“‘ so is this people, and so is this nation before Me,’ says the Lord,‘ and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

Then answered Haggai and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith Jehovah; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai replied,“ So is this people, and so is this nation before Me”— this is the Lord’s declaration.“ And so is every work of their hands; even what they offer there is defiled.

Then answered Haggai, and said, So[ is] this people, and so[ is] this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so[ is] every work of their hands; and that which they offer there[ is] unclean.

Then Haggai answered,“‘ So is this people, and so is this nation before me,’ says Yahweh;‘ and so is every work of their hands. That which they offer there is unclean.

“ Of what importance to me are your many sacrifices?” says the LORD.“ I am stuffed with burnt sacrifices of rams and the fat from steers. The blood of bulls, lambs, and goats I do not want.When you enter my presence, do you actually think I want this– animals trampling on my courtyards?Do not bring any more meaningless offerings; I consider your incense detestable! You observe new moon festivals, Sabbaths, and convocations, but I cannot tolerate sin-stained celebrations!I hate your new moon festivals and assemblies; they are a burden that I am tired of carrying.When you spread out your hands in prayer, I look the other way; when you offer your many prayers, I do not listen, because your hands are covered with blood.

The one who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

The LORD abhors the sacrifices of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.

Haughty eyes and a proud heart– the agricultural product of the wicked is sin.

Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his priestly colleagues and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his colleagues started to build the altar of the God of Israel so they could offer burnt offerings on it as required by the law of Moses the man of God.They established the altar on its foundations, even though they were in terror of the local peoples, and they offered burnt offerings on it to the LORD, both the morning and the evening offerings.

save others by snatching them out of the fire; have mercy on others, coupled with a fear of God, hating even the clothes stained by the flesh.

The wicked person’s sacrifice is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with evil intent!

“ Is it right for you to live in richly paneled houses while my temple is in ruins?Here then is what the LORD who rules over all says:‘ Think carefully about what you are doing.You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but are never filled. You drink, but are still thirsty. You put on clothes, but are not warm. Those who earn wages end up with holes in their money bags.’”“ Moreover, the LORD who rules over all says:‘ Pay close attention to these things also.Go up to the hill country and bring back timber to build the temple. Then I will be pleased and honored,’ says the LORD.‘ You expected a large harvest, but instead there was little, and when you brought it home it disappeared right away. Why?’ asks the LORD who rules over all.‘ Because my temple remains in ruins, thanks to each of you favoring his own house!This is why the sky has held back its dew and the earth its produce.Moreover, I have called for a drought that will affect the fields, the hill country, the grain, new wine, fresh olive oil, and everything that grows from the ground; it also will harm people, animals, and everything they produce.’”
