“ This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ Ask the priests what the law says:

The Lord who rules over all speaks. He says,“ Ask the priests what the law says.

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts: Ask the priests about the law:

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says. Ask the priests this question about the law:

“ This is what the LORD of Armies says: Ask the priests for a ruling.

“ The Lord of armies says this:‘ Now ask the priests for a ruling:

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

“ This is what the Lord of Hosts says: Ask the priests for a ruling.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests[ concerning] the law, saying,

“ The LORD who rules over all says,‘ Ask the priests about the law.

“ Yahweh of Armies says: Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

“ For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.

that you may distinguish between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean,and that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.”

“ And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.In controversy they shall stand as judges, and judge it according to My judgments. They shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed meetings, and they shall hallow My Sabbaths.

They shall teach Jacob Your judgments, And Israel Your law. They shall put incense before You, And a whole burnt sacrifice on Your altar.

holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

“ If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between degrees of guilt for bloodshed, between one judgment or another, or between one punishment or another, matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.And you shall come to the priests, the Levites, and to the judge there in those days, and inquire of them; they shall pronounce upon you the sentence of judgment.You shall do according to the sentence which they pronounce upon you in that place which the Lord chooses. And you shall be careful to do according to all that they order you.According to the sentence of the law in which they instruct you, according to the judgment which they tell you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left from the sentence which they pronounce upon you.
