You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

You have planted many seeds. But the crops you have gathered are small. So you eat. But you never have enough. You drink. But you are never full. You put on your clothes. But you are not warm. You earn your pay. But it will not buy everything you need.”

You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

那時你們怎麼了？有人來到二十斗的穀堆那裏，卻只得了十斗；有人來到酒池那裏要取五十桶，卻只得了二十桶。

因你們全國上下都搶奪我的供物，詛咒就臨到你們身上。你們要將當納的十分之一全然送入倉庫，使我家有糧，以此試試我，是否為你們敞開天上的窗戶，傾福與你們，甚至無處可容。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。我必為你們斥責蝗蟲，不容牠毀壞你們的土產。你們田間的葡萄樹，果實未熟以先也不會掉落。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

你們盼望多得，看哪，所得的卻少；你們收到家中，我就吹去。這是為甚麼呢？因為我的殿荒涼，你們各人卻只為自己的房屋奔走。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

他們所栽種的是風，所收割的是暴風；禾稼不長穗，無以製成麵粉；即便製成，外邦人也必吞吃它。

你撒在田裏的種子雖多，收的卻少，因為蝗蟲把它吃光了。你栽植修整葡萄園，卻沒有酒喝，也不得儲存，因為蟲子把它吃了。你全境有橄欖樹，卻得不到油抹身，因為你的橄欖都掉光了。

他們吃，卻不得飽足；行淫，卻不繁衍；因為他們離棄耶和華，常行

田荒涼，地悲哀；因為五穀毀壞，新酒枯竭，新的油也缺乏。農夫啊，你們要慚愧；修整葡萄園的啊，你們要哀號；因為大麥、小麥與田間的莊稼全都毀了。葡萄樹枯乾，無花果樹衰殘，石榴樹、棕樹、蘋果樹，田野一切的樹木都枯乾；眾人的喜樂盡都消逝。祭司啊，當束上麻布痛哭；事奉祭壇的啊，要哀號；事奉我上帝的啊，你們要來，披上麻布過夜，因為在你們上帝的殿中不再有素祭和澆酒祭了。

你要吃，卻吃不飽，你的肚子仍是空空。你必被挪去，不得逃脫；如有逃脫的，我必交給刀劍。你撒種，卻不得收割；踹橄欖，卻不得油抹身；有新酒，卻不得酒喝。

萬軍之耶和華說：我要把這書卷送出去，進入偷竊者的家和指着我名起假誓者的家，停留在他家裏，連房屋帶木頭和石頭都毀滅了。」

萬軍之耶和華說：「你們若不聽，若不放在心上，將榮耀歸給我的名，我就使詛咒臨到你們，使你們的福分變為詛咒；其實我已經詛咒了你們的福分，因你們不把誡命放在心上。

那些日子以前，人得不着工價，牲畜也無人雇用；且因敵人的緣故，出入不得平安；因我使人與人互相攻擊。

她說：「我指着永生的耶和華－你的上帝起誓，我沒有餅，罈內只有一把麵，瓶裏只有一點油。看哪，我去找兩根柴，帶回家為我和我兒子做餅。我們吃了，就等死吧！」

大衛在位年間有饑荒，一連三年，大衛求問耶和華，耶和華說：「掃羅和他家犯了流人血之罪，因為他殺死了基遍人。」

他在滿足有餘的時候，必有困苦臨到；凡受苦楚之人的手必加在他身上。

自從我們停止向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，我們倒缺乏這一切，又因刀劍饑荒滅絕。」

我要斷絕你們糧食的供應，使十個女人用一個烤爐給你們烤餅，按配給的定量秤給你們。你們要吃，卻吃不飽。

他家裏出產的必消失，在上帝憤怒的日子被沖走。

你們勞力卻白費，因為你們的地沒有出產，地上的樹也不結果實。

十畝的葡萄園只釀出一罷特的酒，一賀梅珥的穀種只結一伊法糧食。」

他又對我說：「人子，看哪，我必斷絕耶路撒冷糧食的供應。他們要帶着憂慮限量吃餅；帶着驚惶限量喝水。他們因缺糧缺水，彼此驚惶，在自己的罪孽中消滅。」

「我使你們在每一座城裏牙齒乾淨，使你們各處的糧食缺乏，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「在收割的前三個月，我不降雨在你們那裏，我降雨在這城，不降雨在那城；這塊地有雨，那塊無雨的地就必枯乾。兩三城的人擠到一個城去找水喝，卻喝不足，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「我以焚風和霉爛攻擊你們，你們許多的菜園、葡萄園、無花果樹、橄欖樹屢屢被剪蟲所吃，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。

使肥沃之地變為荒蕪的鹽地，都因當地居民的邪惡。

因為無雨降在地上，土地就乾裂，農夫為此蒙羞抱頭。
