This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ These people say,‘ The time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord’s house.’”

Here is what the Lord who rules over all says.“ The people of Judah say,‘ It’s not yet time to rebuild the Lord’ s temple.’ ”

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts: These people say the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.”

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The people are saying,‘ The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.’”

“ The LORD of Armies says this: These people say: The time has not come for the house of the LORD to be rebuilt.”

“ This is what the Lord of armies says:‘ This people says,“ The time has not come, the time for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt.” ’ ”

Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, This people say, It is not the time for us to come, the time for Jehovah’s house to be built.

The LORD who rules over all says this:“ These people have said,‘ The time for rebuilding the LORD’s temple has not yet come.’”

Judah said,“ The strength of the bearers of burdens is fading, and there is much rubble; so that we are not able to build the wall.”

But the men who went up with him said,“ We aren’t able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.”

He is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who answer with discretion.

The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe.
