那時，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子約書亞大祭司，和所有倖存的百姓都聽從耶和華－他們上帝的話，就是哈該先知奉耶和華他們上帝差遣所說的話；百姓在耶和華面前存敬畏的心。

請王知道，我們往猶大省去，到了至大上帝的殿。這殿是用鑿成的石頭建造的，梁木插入牆內。這項工程進行迅速，在他們手中順利。

所以，我親愛的弟兄們，你們務要堅固，不可動搖，常常竭力多做主工，因為你們知道，你們在主裏的勞苦不是徒然的。

以斯拉說：「耶和華－我們列祖的上帝是應當稱頌的！因他使王起這心願，使耶路撒冷耶和華的殿得榮耀，他又在王和謀士，以及王所有大能的軍官面前施恩於我。我因耶和華－我上帝的手的幫助，得以堅強，從以色列中召集領袖，與我一同上來。」

於是，猶大和便雅憫的族長、祭司、利未人，凡是心被上帝感動的人都起來，要上耶路撒冷去建造耶和華的殿。

因此，以色列的上帝激發亞述王普勒，就是亞述王提革拉‧毗列色的心，他擄掠了呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人，把他們帶到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日。

你在聖山上掌權的日子，你的子民必甘心跟隨；從晨曦初現，你就有清晨的甘露。

在各樣善事上裝備你們，使你們遵行他的旨意；又藉着耶穌基督在我們裏面行他所喜悅的事。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

恩賜有許多種，卻是同一位聖靈所賜。事奉有許多種，卻是事奉同一位主。工作有許多種，卻是同一位上帝在萬人中運行萬事。聖靈彰顯在各人身上，是要使人得益處。有人藉着聖靈領受智慧的言語；有人也靠着同一位聖靈領受知識的言語；又有人由同一位聖靈領受信心；還有人由同一位聖靈領受醫病的恩賜；又有人能行異能，又有人能作先知，又有人能辨別諸靈，又有人能說方言，又有人能翻方言。這一切都是由惟一的、同一位聖靈所運行，隨着自己的旨意分給各人的。

感謝上帝，把我對你們的熱忱同樣放在提多心裏。

我親愛的，這樣看來，你們向來是順服的，不但我在你們那裏，就是我現在不在你們那裏的時候更是順服的，就當恐懼戰兢完成你們自己得救的事；因為是上帝在你們心裏運行，使你們又立志又實行，為要成就他的美意。
