Therefore, because of you the sky has withheld its dew, and the earth has withheld its produce.

Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.

So because of what you have done, the heavens have held back the dew. And the earth has not produced its crops.

Therefore the heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce.

It’s because of you that the heavens withhold the dew and the earth produces no crops.

So on your account, the skies have withheld the dew and the land its crops.

Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.

Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholdeth its fruit.

Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed[ from] her fruit.

This is why the sky has held back its dew and the earth its produce.

How the animals have groaned! The herds of cattle have wandered aimlessly Because there is no pasture for them; Even the flocks of sheep have suffered.To You, Lord, I cry out; For fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, And the flame has burned up all the trees of the field.Even the animals of the field pant for You; For the stream beds of water are dried up, And fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

I will also break down your pride of power; and I will make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze.

The farmers have been put to shame, They have covered their heads.For even the doe in the field has given birth only to abandon her young, Because there is no grass.The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights; They pant for air like jackals, Their eyes fail Because there is no vegetation.

Therefore, I will take back My grain at harvest time And My new wine in its season. I will also take away My wool and My flax That I gave to cover her nakedness.
