And Moses said to Aaron,“ Take your censer and put fire in it from the altar, and place incense on it; then bring it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the Lord, the plague has begun!”Then Aaron took it just as Moses had spoken, and he ran into the midst of the assembly; and behold, the plague had begun among the people. So he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.And he took his stand between the dead and the living, so that the plague was brought to a halt.But those who died by the plague were 14,700 in number, besides those who died on account of Korah.

I will strike them with plague and dispossess them, and I will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they.”

They will be wasted by famine, and emaciated by plague And a bitter epidemic; And the teeth of beasts I will send against them, With the venom of crawling things of the dust.

The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In the gale and the storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.

Then the earth shook and quaked; And the foundations of the mountains were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry.Smoke went up out of His nostrils, And fire from His mouth was devouring; Coals burned from it.He also bowed the heavens down low, and came down With thick darkness under His feet.He rode on a cherub and flew; And He sped on the wings of the wind.He made darkness His hiding place, His canopy around Him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds.From the brightness before Him passed His thick clouds, Hailstones and coals of fire.The Lord also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.
