敵方逃遁、下伯和倫岡、入亞西加時、耶和華自天降大雹擊敵、傷雹而死、較以色列族以刃殺者尤眾。耶和華既使以色列族敗亞摩哩人、約書亞即於以色列族前、禱耶和華曰、日勿運行於基遍、月必暫止於亞耶倫谷。日不運行、月亦暫止、待以色列民報仇。是事耶述紀亦載之。日不運行於天中、其不速下者竟日。
