日月停在本位，你的箭發射如光；你的矛閃爍輝耀。

密雲傾降雨水，天空發出響聲，你的箭閃射四方。你的雷聲在旋風中響起來，閃電照亮了世界，大地戰抖震動。

耶和華必像在毘拉心山一樣興起，又像在基遍谷一樣發怒，為要作成他的工，他那奇妙的工，好成就他的事，就是奇異的事。

他們從以色列人面前逃跑，正在下伯．和崙斜坡的時候，耶和華從天上降大冰雹在他們身上，一直到亞西加，打死他們；被冰雹打死的，比以色列人用刀殺死的還多。那時，就是耶和華把亞摩利人交給以色列人的時候，約書亞在以色列人面前對耶和華說：“太陽啊，停在基遍；月亮啊，停在亞雅崙谷。”於是太陽停住，月亮站住，直到以色列人在仇敵的身上報了仇。這事不是寫在《雅煞珥書》上嗎？太陽在天空中站住，不急速下落，約有一整天。

看哪！我要使亞哈斯日晷上那向前進的日影往後退十級。”於是那向前進的日影，果然在日晷上往後退了十級。

它們的聲音（按照《馬索拉文本》，“聲音”作“準繩”；現參照《七十士譯本》等古譯本翻譯）傳遍全地，它們的言語傳到地極，神在它們中間為太陽安設帳幕。
