作偶像者、悉為虛妄、其所慕者無益、彼明知其不見不聞、當生愧怍。誰鑄無益之偶像、以像上帝哉、

異邦之偶像、金銀而已、人手所雕作兮。有口不言、有目不見、耳不聞聲音、鼻不通呼吸兮、造作之、依賴之、與彼無異兮。

彼之偶像、金銀而已、人手所雕作兮。有口不言、有目不睹兮、有耳不能聞聲、有鼻不知辨臭兮、有手不可提挈。有足不可步履、有喉舌不可談吐兮、造作之、倚賴之、與彼無異兮、

偶像屬乎虛誕、卜筮鄰乎偽妄、惟人假託夢寐、妄施慰藉、故若迷途之羊、失牧而憂、

爾乃異邦人、素惑於不言之偶像、隨人所誘、

凡作偶像者、必生愧怍、必駭而奔。

彼稱木為父、稱石為母、居恆之際、則背逆乎我、患難之時、則求予援手。猶大人與、爾之眾邑、各事一上帝、其數相等、所作之像安在、盍使彼並起、拯救爾曹。

值崇拜於其上帝溺落之殿、其子亞得米勒、沙哩斯弒之、遁於亞喇臘國、更有一子。以撒哈頓繼位。

巴勒顛躓、尼破隕越、其像甚重、牲畜負之、無不困憊、巴勒、尼破俱已隕越、不能保其偶像、為人所虜。

惟彼偶像、崇之者愚蠢、鑄之者蒙羞、偶像偽物。內無生氣。悉無靈爽、妄人所作、天災一至、與眾偕亡。

有爵位者如麻、其所作為如火、遇之必燃、同遭焚燬、撲滅無人。

凡賴虛偽者、棄厥恩主、

我又見獸由地起、二角似羔、出言如龍、此獸操海獸之權、使天下億兆、拜受傷瀕死而得醫之獸、行大異跡、使火自天、降於人前、於獸前行異跡、惑天下億兆、使人作像、奉受傷得生之獸、俾有神憑海獸之像、而作人言、令殺不拜獸像者、

伐柏香木以及橡櫟、此皆木之堅者、亦植杉樹、得雨露之養、人取為柴、燃之可以暖體、可以烘餅、復作上帝像、俯伏而拜。材木之半、焚之可以備餚、可以炙肉、食之果腹、向火得暖、人樂以觀火。更有餘木、以製偶像、以像上帝、俯伏而拜、禱曰、誠我上帝、爾其救予、維彼不識不知、其目若塗以泥、其心不明、孰能深思其故、奮然儆醒曰、材木之半、焚之可以烘餅炙肉、而供口腹、則其餘材、豈可作像、拜此可憎之榾柮。彼心昏迷、所望成空、若食燼餘而不悟、不知右手所作、悉屬虛妄。

列國流離之民、當大和會、群聽斯言、木偶之上帝、不能救民、凡輦斯像而禱之者、其愚甚矣。

乃昔所行者、今日恥之、何益哉、終亦必亡而已、

億兆之禮儀虛偽、有入林叢、以斧伐木、以工治之、以金銀飾之、以鎚釘之、使不搖動、屹立若柱、不能言、不能行、藉人肩負、彰癉不加、爾勿畏之。

不崇永生上帝之榮、反拜速朽世人禽獸昆蟲之像、故上帝聽其心之嗜慾、淪於污穢、互辱其身、夫恆久所當頌美者上帝也、乃人棄真尚偽、崇奉受造之物、不崇奉造化之主、

偽師於獸前行異跡、眩惑受獸印、拜獸像者、故偽師與獸、皆被執、生投火坑、坑有硫火、

惡者之至、藉撒但力、其妙用異跡奇事、無非偽為、詭詐百出、自棄者為所惑、蓋彼不願受真理致得救、為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、

當立旌旆、告於列邦、播傳毋隱、曰、巴比倫已陷、巴勒抱愧、米羅達已折、諸偶像已毀。

聖神確言、季世有人背道、從偽感神者、教人事鬼、偽善誑言、喪其本心、如火銷鑠、

人傾囊、出其金銀、權其輕重、以畀工人、俾鑄上帝像、俯伏崇拜、負之於肩、置諸一所、立而不動、呼而莫應、望其拯難、而彼不能。爾曹陷於罪者、當深思之、其無愧於丈夫。
