You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.

They have planned to wipe out many nations. But they have brought shame on their own kingdom. So they must pay with their own lives.

You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many peoples; you have forfeited your life.

But by the murders you committed, you have shamed your name and forfeited your lives.

You have planned shame for your house by wiping out many peoples and sinning against your own self.

You have planned a shameful thing for your house By bringing many peoples to an end; So you are sinning against yourself.

You give shameful counsel to your house, Cutting off many peoples, And sin against your soul.

Thou hast devised shame to thy house, by cutting off many peoples, and hast sinned against thy soul.

You have planned shame for your house by wiping out many peoples and sinning against your own self.

Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned[ against] thy soul.

Your schemes will bring shame to your house. Because you destroyed many nations, you will self-destruct.

The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh:“ You will have no descendants to bear your name. I will destroy the images and idols that are in the temple of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.” (niv)

Then King Solomon swore by the Lord:“ May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if Adonijah does not pay with his life for this request! (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Record this man as if childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime, for none of his offspring will prosper, none will sit on the throne of David or rule anymore in Judah.” (niv)

you will not join them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and killed your people. Let the offspring of the wicked never be mentioned again.Prepare a place to slaughter his children for the sins of their ancestors; they are not to rise to inherit the land and cover the earth with their cities.“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord Almighty.“ I will wipe out Babylon’s name and survivors, her offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord. All the people answered,“ His blood is on us and on our children!” (niv)

You conceive chaff, you give birth to straw; your breath is a fire that consumes you. (niv)
