我要听神耶和华所要说的话；因为他应许赐平安给他的子民，给他的圣民；但愿他们不要转向愚妄。

我思想要明白这事，我就看为烦恼；直到我进了神的圣所，才明白他们的结局。

耶路撒冷啊！我在你的城墙上设立了守望的人；他们昼夜都不缄默；提耶和华之名的啊！你们不要静止。

耶和华啊！我跟你争辩的时候，总是你有理；然而我还要跟你讨论有关公正的问题。恶人的道路为什么亨通？所有行诡诈的为什么都得享安逸？

因为你们在找基督藉着我说话的凭据。基督对你们不是软弱的，相反地，在你们身上是有能力的。

耶和华我的神，我的圣者啊！你不是自古就有的吗？我们不会死的。耶和华啊！你派他们行审判。磐石啊！你立他们施惩罚。你的眼目纯洁，不看邪恶，不能坐视奸恶；为什么见行诡诈的人而不理？恶人吞灭比自己公义的人，你为什么缄默呢？你竟使人像海里的鱼，像无人管辖的爬行的动物。迦勒底人既用钩把他们钓起来，用网拖走，用鱼网收聚在一处，就欢喜快乐，向自己的网献祭，对鱼网烧香，因他们藉此收获丰富，饮食充裕。这样，他们倒空自己的网，毫不留情地继续杀戮列国。

但愿有一位肯听我的，看哪！这是我所划的押，愿全能者回答我，愿那与我争讼的写好状词。

他们摆设筵席，铺张地毡，又吃又喝。领袖们，起来吧！用油抹净盾牌。

以色列人暗中做了不对的事，违背耶和华他们的神，并且在他们所有的城市，从哨站到设防城，为他们自己建筑邱坛。
