John 21:6-11
He said,“ Throw your net on the right side of the boat. There you will find some fish.” When they did, they could not pull the net into the boat. There were too many fish in it.Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Simon Peter,“ It is the Lord!” As soon as Peter heard that, he put his coat on. He had taken it off earlier. Then he jumped into the water.The other disciples followed in the boat. They were towing the net full of fish. The shore was only about 100 yards away.When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals. There were fish on it. There was also some bread.Jesus said to them,“ Bring some of the fish you have just caught.”So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat. He dragged the net to shore. It was full of large fish. There were 153 of them. But even with that many fish the net was not torn.

The Lord and King says,“ You clapped your hands. You stamped your feet. Deep down inside, you hated the land of Israel. You were glad because of what happened to it.

There were so many that their nets began to break.So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees.“ Go away from me, Lord!” he said.“ I am a sinful man!”He and everyone with him were amazed at the number of fish they had caught.So were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who worked with Simon. Then Jesus said to Simon,“ Don’t be afraid. From now on you will fish for people.”

All those who pass by clap their hands and make fun of you. They laugh at you and shake their heads at the city of Jerusalem. They say,“ Could that be the city that was called perfect and beautiful? Is that the city that brought joy to everyone on earth?”All your enemies open their mouths wide against you. They laugh at you and grind their teeth. They say,“ We have swallowed up Jerusalem’s people. This is the day we’ve waited for. And we’ve lived to see it.”
