The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them in his net, he gathers them up in his dragnet; and so he rejoices and is glad.

耶穌說：「在船的右邊下網就會打到魚。」於是他們照著祂的話把網撒下去，網到的魚多到連網都拉不動。耶穌所愛的那個門徒對彼得說：「是主！」那時西門·彼得赤著身子，一聽見是主，立刻束上外衣，跳進海裡。其他門徒離岸不遠，約有一百米，他們隨後用船把那一網魚拖到岸邊。他們上岸後，看見有一堆炭火，上面有魚和餅。耶穌說：「拿幾條剛打的魚來。」西門·彼得就上船把網拉上岸。網裡一共有一百五十三條大魚！雖然魚這麼多，網卻沒有破。

「主耶和華說，『你們看到以色列的災禍，便幸災樂禍，手舞足蹈。

但我要鉤住你的腮，使河中的魚貼在你的鱗甲上，把你連同貼在你鱗甲上的魚一起從河中拉上來，丟棄在曠野。你必曝屍野外，無人收殮。我要讓你成為野獸和飛鳥的食物。

搶奪我產業的巴比倫人啊，你們歡喜快樂，像草場上歡跳的母牛犢，又像嘶鳴的公馬。

所有在尼羅河下鉤的漁夫都哀哭悲傷，在河上撒網的人都傷痛。

西門說：「老師，我們勞碌了一整夜，一無所獲，但既然你這樣吩咐，我就照你的話做。」他們把網撒下去，果然捕獲很多魚，差點把網撐破了，於是招呼另一條船上的同伴來幫忙。他們一起把兩條船都裝滿了魚，船幾乎要沉下去了。西門·彼得見狀，便跪倒在耶穌膝前說：「主啊，離開我，我是個罪人！」他和所有同伴們對捕到這麼多魚感到非常驚訝，包括西庇太的兩個兒子雅各和約翰。耶穌對西門說：「不要怕，從今以後，你將成為得人的漁夫。」

你既因以色列的荒涼而幸災樂禍，我要讓你遭受同樣的下場。西珥山啊，你和以東都要荒涼。這樣，你們就知道我是耶和華。』

地上萬民便興高采烈，互相送禮道賀，因為這兩位先知曾使地上的人受苦。

「人子啊，泰爾譏笑耶路撒冷說，『哈哈！那通往列國的門戶已遭破壞，城門向我大開，她已荒涼，我必興盛。』

路人都拍掌嘲笑你。他們向耶路撒冷城搖頭，嗤笑道：「這就是那被譽為完美無瑕、普世喜悅的城嗎？」敵人都幸災樂禍地譏諷你，他們咬牙切齒地說：「我們吞滅了她！這是我們期待已久的日子！我們終於見到這一天了！」
