耶和華使大地空虛荒蕪、傾而覆之、散其居民、庶人與祭司、僕與主、婢女與主母、購者與售者、貸人者與貸於人者、取利者與納利者、無不若是、地將空曠、遍處荒涼、此言耶和華已言之矣、地悲哀而衰殘、世頹敗而落寞、民中位高者亦頹敗、地為居民污衊、以其犯法律、違典章、背厥永約、故地亡於咒詛、處其上者干咎、居民被燬、所餘無幾、新釀悲哀、葡萄衰殘、心懽愉者、無不慨歎、播鼗之音息、歡忭之聲寂、鼓琴之樂歇、

主知拯虔者於試中、而留不義者於刑下、以待鞫日、

萬軍之耶和華曰屆我所定之期、斯人必屬於我、為我之業、我必矜恤之、若人矜恤事己之子、當斯時也、義與不義者、事上帝與不事上帝者、爾將轉而分辨之、

居於至高者之密所、必恆在全能者之蔭下兮、

故當時之世、為水氾濫而沒、
