Every living thing that moved on land perished— birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

Every living thing that moved on land died. The birds, the livestock and the wild animals died. All of the creatures that fill the earth also died. And so did every human being.

And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind.

All the living things on earth died— birds, domestic animals, wild animals, small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people.

Every creature perished— those that crawl on the earth, birds, livestock, wildlife, and those that swarm on the earth, as well as all mankind.

So all creatures that moved on the earth perished: birds, livestock, animals, and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind;

And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.

上帝就對挪亞說：『凡有血肉的，我決定要結束他們的生命了，因為全地都因了他們而滿有強暴；看吧，我要把他們、連全地、都毁滅。

我呢，你看罷，我要使洪流大水臨到地上，來毁滅天下凡有血肉的，就是有生氣的活物：凡在地上的都必溺死。

因為再過七天，我要下雨在地上，四十晝又四十夜，將我所造的眾生都從地上擦滅。』

永恆主就後悔造了人在地上，心中憂傷。永恆主說：『我要將我所創造的人類、都從地上擦滅：無論人類獸類或爬行動物，以及空中的飛鳥，都要擦滅，因為我後悔造了他們。』

牠們前面像火燒滅着，牠們過後像火燄燒過；未到以前、地像伊甸園，過去以後、地成了荒涼曠野；唉啊，沒有一樣能逃脫了牠們的。

被創造之物服在徒勞挫折之下、不是自願的，乃是因那叫它服在指望中者的旨意；

你要固執古舊的路徑、奸惡人所行的路麼？他們未到死期就被攫去；他們的根基被沖瀉如河流：他們對上帝說：「離開我們吧！」「全能者能把我們怎麼樣呢？」

人喫喝嫁娶，直到挪亞進樓船那一天，洪水一來，把他們都滅了。

但你呢，永恆主啊，你深知我；你看透我，你察驗我對你怎樣；求你將他們拉出來、如拉屠宰的羊，將他們分別出來、以備殺戮之日。這地悲哀，遍野的青草枯乾，要到幾時呢？因這裏的居民所行的壞事、牲口和飛鳥都被掃滅掉，因為人們說：『他看不到我們的結局。』

地全然被打破，盡都崩裂，大大震顫。

因此這地悲哀，其中所有的居民都必衰萎，連田野走獸空中飛鳥也必萎靡不振；就是海中的魚也必被收盡。

『因為我的人民愚妄，連我、他們也不認識；愚頑的兒女啊、他們！無知啊、他們！他們有智巧去作壞事，要怎樣行善、卻不曉得。』我觀看大地，啊，地沒有定形，混混沌沌；我觀看天，天呢、沒有光。我觀看山嶺，啊，山嶺全都震動，小山也都搖來搖去。我觀看，啊，沒有人；空中的飛鳥也都逃掉。我觀看，啊，園地竟變為曠野；一切城市、在永恆主面前、因他的烈怒、都被拆毁。因為永恆主這麼說：『全國都必荒涼；但我卻不盡行毁滅。

他既不愛惜上古的世代，反而引進了洪水來滅不虔之人的世代，只保守着正義的報信者第八個人挪亞。

我們知道、所有被創造之物都一同歎息，同受產難，直到如今。

穀種在耙子底下都萎縮了；倉房淒涼，廩室翻毁，因為五穀令人失望了。牲口哀鳴着，牛羣滿處亂竄，因為找不到草場；羊羣也餓得發獃。永恆主啊，我是向你呼求的；因為有火燒滅了野地的草場，有火燄燒盡了田野的樹木。連田野的走獸也向你發喘；因為有水的溪河都乾涸了，有火燒滅了野地的草場。

我必除滅人和獸，掃滅空中的飛鳥、以及海裏的魚。我必使惡人垮倒，將人從地面上剪除掉』：永恆主發神諭說。

不知不覺，到洪水來了，把一切都沖了去：人子之御臨也必這樣。

因此大地被咒詛所吞滅，上頭的居民擔受了罪罰；因此地上的居民被燒焦，剩下的人很少。
