那军官回答神人说：“看哪，即使耶和华打开天上的窗户，也不可能有这事。”神人说：“看哪，你必亲眼看见，在那里却吃不到什么。”

万军的主耶和华触摸地，地就融化，凡住在地上的都必悲哀；全地必如尼罗河涨起，如同埃及的尼罗河落下。那在天上建造楼阁、在地上奠定穹苍、召唤海水、使其倾倒在地面上的，耶和华是他的名。

在洪水以前的那些日子，人照常吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亚进方舟的那日，

然而他却吩咐天空，又敞开天上的门，降吗哪像雨，给他们吃，将天上的粮食赐给他们。

他聚集海水如垒，收藏深洋在仓库。

你曾分裂泉源和溪流；使长流的江河枯干。

“当海水冲出，如出母胎，谁用门将它关闭呢？是我用云彩当海的衣服，用幽暗当包裹它的布，为它定界限，又安门和闩，说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。’

上使穹苍坚硬，下使渊源稳固，为沧海定出范围，使水不越过界限，奠定大地的根基。

你们难道不惧怕我吗？在我面前还不战兢吗？这是耶和华说的。我以沙为海的界限，作永远的条例，使它不得越过。波浪汹涌，却不能胜过；怒涛澎湃，仍无法越过。

看哪，我要使洪水泛滥在地上，毁灭天下凡有生命气息的血肉之躯，地上的一切都要灭亡。

地必全然破坏，尽都崩裂，剧烈震动。

人正说平安稳定的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同阵痛临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝逃脱不了。
