耶和華看到人在地上罪惡深重，而且人心裡的每個意念動機終日都是邪惡的。

永恆主見人類在地上壞透了，人類心思終日所計謀的、沒有別的、只是壞事；

耶和華鑒觀世人、罪惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆為邪慝、

耶和華鑒觀世人、作惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆壞惡念。

主見人在世、罪惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆為奸惡、

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

The Lord saw how bad the sins of everyone on earth had become. They only thought about evil things.

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.

When the LORD saw that human wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every inclination of the human mind was nothing but evil all the time,

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

When the Lord saw that man’s wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every scheme his mind thought of was nothing but evil all the time,

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man[ was] great in the earth, and[ that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart[ was] only evil continually.

But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time.

Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.

因為從心裡發出種種惡念：殺人、通姦、淫亂、偷竊、做偽證、毀謗，

既然人不願意真正認識神，神就任憑他們存敗壞的理性，去做那些不該做的事。他們充滿了各種不義、邪惡、貪心、惡毒；滿心是嫉妒、凶殺、紛爭、欺詐、狠毒；他們搬弄是非、誹謗人、憎恨神、侮慢人、驕傲、自誇、製造惡行、悖逆父母、愚昧無知、不守信用、沒有親情、毫無憐憫。

因為從裡面，就是從人心裡發出種種惡念：淫亂、偷竊、殺人、通姦、貪心、惡意、欺詐、好色、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、愚妄，這一切邪惡都是從人裡面出來的，而且使人汙穢。」

在日光之下發生的一切事中，有一種禍患，就是每個人都有一樣的命運；並且世人的心充滿了惡事；他們一生心裡狂妄，之後就歸到死人那裡。

耶和華聞到了那馨香之氣，就心裡說：「我絕不再因人的緣故詛咒這地，儘管人從年幼時就心懷邪惡；我也絕不再像我曾做的，毀滅所有的活物。

你們因著自己的過犯和罪孽，原是死的；在其中，你們從前行事為人，是順著這世界的潮流，順著那空中勢力的掌權者，就是現今在那些不信從的兒女裡面做工的靈。我們從前也都生活在他們中間，生活在自己肉體的欲望裡，行肉體和意念所願的事。我們正如其他人，生來也是震怒之下的兒女。

看哪，我只發現了一件事，就是神造人原是正直的，但人卻尋找許多詭計。」

其實，我們從前也是無知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各種欲望和享樂的奴僕，活在惡毒和嫉妒中，是可憎惡的，又彼此相恨。

愚頑人心裡說：「沒有神！」他們都敗壞，行為可憎；沒有人行善。耶和華從天上俯瞰世人，要看是否有明達人，是否有尋求神的人。所有的人都偏離正道，他們一同墮落；沒有行善的，連一個也沒有！難道所有作惡的都不明白嗎？他們吞噬我的子民像吃飯那樣，他們不呼求耶和華。

然後耶和華說：「控告所多瑪和格摩拉的呼聲非常大，他們的罪惡極其深重；我要下去，看看他們所做的一切，是不是像那達到我耳中的呼聲；如果不是，我也會知道。」

那時所多瑪人在耶和華面前罪大惡極。

那麼怎麼樣呢？我們猶太人比別人好嗎？當然不是！我們已經指出：猶太人和外邦人都在罪孽之下。正如經上所記：「沒有義人，連一個也沒有；沒有領悟的，沒有尋求神的。人人都遠離了正道，一同成了無用的；沒有仁慈的，連一個也沒有。他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓，他們用舌頭玩弄詭詐，他們的嘴唇含有蛇毒，他們滿口是咒罵和苦毒，他們的腳步為殺人流血而飛快，他們的路上只有毀滅和慘禍；和平之路，他們從來不知道。他們的眼目中沒有對神的敬畏。」我們知道，律法上的一切話都是對律法之下的人講的，好堵住每個人的口，使全世界的人都在神的審判之下有罪，
