他两个儿子以撒、以实玛利把他埋葬在麦比拉洞里。这洞在幔利前、赫人琐辖的儿子以弗仑的田中，

以撒年纪老迈，日子满足，气绝而死，归到他列祖那里。他两个儿子以扫、雅各把他埋葬了。

把他搬到迦南地，葬在幔利前、麦比拉田间的洞里；那洞和田是亚伯拉罕向赫人以弗仑买来为业，作坟地的。

又被带到示剑，葬于亚伯拉罕在示剑用银子从哈抹子孙买来的坟墓里。

我与我祖我父同睡的时候，你要将我带出埃及，葬在他们所葬的地方。”约瑟说：“我必遵着你的命而行。”

后来亚伯拉罕从死人面前起来，对赫人说：

亚伯拉罕听从了以弗仑，照着他在赫人面前所说的话，把买卖通用的银子平了四百舍客勒给以弗仑。于是，麦比拉、幔利前、以弗仑的那块田和其中的洞，并田间四围的树木，都定准归与亚伯拉罕，乃是他在赫人面前并城门出入的人面前买妥的。此后，亚伯拉罕把他妻子撒拉埋葬在迦南地幔利前的麦比拉田间的洞里。（幔利就是希伯仑）。从此，那块田和田间的洞就藉着赫人定准归与亚伯拉罕作坟地。
