以色列伸出右手來，按在以法蓮的頭上；以法蓮乃是年幼的：他又剪搭過左手來，按在瑪拿西的頭上，而瑪拿西卻是長子。

至於以實瑪利呢，我也聽你所求；看吧，我已給他祝福；我必使他繁殖，子孫大大增多；他必生十二個族長；我必使他成為大國。論到我的約，我是要同以撒堅立的；以撒就是明年這時節撒拉所要給你生下來的。』
