我與爾偕下伊及、亦必使爾歸、約瑟將按手於爾目、即臨終使爾瞑目之義

I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.”

約瑟伏在他父親的臉上，為他哀哭，與他親吻。

我與你同在，你無論到哪裡去，我必看顧你；我必領你回到這地方來，因為我必不離棄你，直到我實現了我對你所應許的。”

所以我下來，要救他們脫離埃及人的手，領他們脫離那地，到美好寬闊之地，到流奶與蜜之地，就是到迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人的地方。

以色列又對約瑟說：“看哪，我快要死了，但是神必與你們同在，必領你們回到你們祖先的土地去。

‘我父親曾經叫我起誓，說：“看哪，我快要死了；你要把我埋葬在迦南地，在我為自己所掘的墳墓裡。”現在求你讓我上去，埋葬我的父親，之後我必定回來。’”

但是，雅各啊！那創造你的耶和華，以色列啊！那塑造你的主，現在這樣說：“不要懼怕，因為我救贖了你；我按著你的名呼召了你；你是屬我的。你從水中經過的時候，我必與你同在；你渡過江河的時候，水必不淹沒你；你從火中行走的時候，必不會燒傷；火燄也不會在你身上燒起來。

約瑟對他的兄弟們說：“我快要死了，但神必定眷顧你們，領你們從這地上到他起誓應許給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地去。”約瑟又叫以色列的子孫起誓，說：“神必定眷顧你們，那時你們要把我的骸骨從這裡帶上去應許之地。”

把雅各運到迦南地，葬在麥比拉田間的洞裡。那地方在幔利的前面，是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買下來作墳地的。

他們所要服事的那國，我要親自懲罰。後來他們必帶著很多財物，從那裡出來。你必得享長壽，被人埋葬，平平安安地回到你列祖那裡。到了第四代，他們必回到這裡，因為亞摩利人的罪孽還沒有滿盈。”
