由此看来，这不靠人的意愿，也不靠人的努力，只靠上帝的怜悯。

米迦说：“你就住在我这里吧！我以你为父为祭司，每年给你十块银子和一套衣服，以及生活所需的食物。”利未人就来了。

耶稣回答他：“若不是从上头赐给你的，你就毫无权柄办我，所以，把我交给你的那人罪更重了。”

法老对约瑟说：“上帝既指示你这一切事，就没有人像你这样聪明又有智慧。你可以治理我的家；我的百姓都必服从你口中的命令。惟独在宝座上，我比你大。”法老又对约瑟说：“看，我委派你治理埃及全地。”法老就脱下手上带印的戒指，戴在约瑟的手上，给他穿上细麻衣，把金链戴在他的颈项上，又给约瑟坐他的副座车，在他前面有人呼叫说：“跪下。”于是，法老委派他治理埃及全地。法老对约瑟说：“我是法老，若没有你的命令，埃及全地的人都不可擅自办事。”法老给约瑟起名叫撒发那特‧巴内亚，又将安城的祭司波提‧非拉的女儿亚西纳给他为妻。约瑟就出去治理埃及地。约瑟在埃及王法老面前侍立的时候年三十岁。约瑟从法老面前出去，巡行埃及全地。七个丰年之内，地的出产极其丰盛，约瑟聚集埃及地七年一切的粮食，把粮食积存在各城里，就是把各城周围田地的粮食都积存在该城里。

我作贫穷人的父；我不认识之人的案件，我也去查明。

立他为王家之主，掌管他一切所有的，使他随意捆绑他的臣宰，将智慧教导他的长老。

现在，不要因为把我卖到这里而忧伤，对自己生气，因为上帝差我在你们以先来，为要保全性命。
