And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which[ was] round about every city, laid he up in the same.

I[ was] a father to the poor: and the cause[ which] I knew not I searched out.

He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
