耶穌又說：「你們誠然是廢棄上帝的誡命，為要守自己的傳統。摩西說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必須處死。』你們倒說：『人若對父母說：我所當供奉你的已經作了各耳板』（各耳板就是奉獻的意思），你們就容許他不必再奉養父母。

寡婦若有兒女，或有孫兒女，要讓兒孫先在自己家中學習行孝，報答親恩，因為這在上帝面前是可蒙悅納的。

埃及地都在你面前，只管讓你父親和你兄弟住在最好的地，他們可以住在歌珊地。你若知道他們中間有能幹的人，就派他們看管我的牲畜。」

你們倒說：『無論誰對父母說：我所當供奉你的已經作了奉獻，就可以不孝敬他的父親。』這就是你們藉着傳統，廢了上帝的話。
