当我们来到一处住宿的地方，打开自己的袋子，看哪，各人的银子都在自己的袋子口，重量分文不少。现在我们手上带着这些银子回来了。我们手上又带了另外的银子下来买粮。我们不知道头一次是谁把银子放在我们的袋子里。”

这是因为，那“不可通奸，不可杀人，不可偷窃，不可贪心”的诫命，或是别的什么诫命，都包含在“要爱邻如己”这一句话里了。

后来他们倒空自己的袋子，看哪，各人的银囊都在自己的袋子里！他们和父亲看见银囊就都害怕。

因为那遵守整个律法的人，只在一条上跌倒，就成了干犯所有律法的了。原来那位说过“不可通奸”的，也说过“不可杀人”。你即使不通奸，却杀人，你还是成了违犯律法的人。

你们手中要拿上双倍的银子，亲手带回那归还在你们袋子口的银子，那或许是个失误。

那个人就问：“哪些诫命呢？”耶稣回答说：“不可杀人、不可通奸、不可偷窃、不可做伪证、

他们对他说：“我主为什么说这样的话呢？你的仆人们绝不会做这样的事。

到了一处住宿的地方，其中一个人打开自己的袋子，要拿饲料喂驴，却看见了自己的银子，看哪，就在袋子口！

他们彼此说：“我们在弟弟的事上实在有罪。他恳求我们的时候，我们见他心中苦楚，却不肯听，所以现在这苦楚临到我们了。”
