犹大对父亲以色列说：“你就让便雅悯跟我同去吧，我们好立刻动身，这样我们一家老小才能保住性命，不致饿死。

犹大对他父亲以色列说：“你若打发那孩子与我同去，我们就立刻起程，好叫我们和你，以及我们的孩子都可以存活，不至饿死。

猶大謂父以色列曰、遣孺子與我偕、即起而往、爾我暨子女、均可延生不死、

猶大謂以色列曰、遣弟與我偕往、汝我子女、均可相保、不至死亡。

猶大謂父以色列曰、遣童子偕我、我儕即起而往、爾與我儕及我子女、皆可保全、不至死亡、

Then Judah said to Israel his father,“ Send the boy along with me and we will go at once, so that we and you and our children may live and not die.

Judah spoke to Israel his father.“ Send the boy along with me,” he said.“ We’ll go right away. Then we and you and our children will live and not die.

And Judah said to Israel his father,“ Send the boy with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

Judah said to his father,“ Send the boy with me, and we will be on our way. Otherwise we will all die of starvation— and not only we, but you and our little ones.

Then Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me. We will be on our way so that we may live and not die— neither we, nor you, nor our dependents.

So Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me and we will arise and go, so that we may live and not die, we as well as you and our little ones.

Then Judah said to Israel his father,“ Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

他又说：“看哪，我听见埃及有粮，你们可以下到那里，从那里为我们买些粮来，我们就可以存活，不至于死。”

王的一个臣仆回答说：“不如叫人从城里剩下的马中取五匹，看哪，这些马像以色列大众一样，快要灭亡了；我们派人去窥探吧！”

我们说：‘我们不能下去。最小的弟弟若和我们同去，我们就可以下去。因为，最小的弟弟若不和我们同去，我们必不能见那人的面。’

现在你们不要害怕，我必养活你们和你们的孩子。”于是约瑟安慰他们，讲了使他们安心的话。

我们若说要进城去，城里有饥荒，我们必死在那里。若我们在这里坐着不动，也必死。现在，来吧，我们去向亚兰人的军队投降。若他们饶我们的命，我们就活着；若杀我们，我们就死吧！”

那时，我在亚哈瓦河边宣告禁食，为要在我们上帝面前刻苦己心，求他使我们和我们的孩子，以及一切所有的，都得平坦的道路。

愿吕便存活，不致死亡，虽然他的人丁稀少。

“当孝敬父母，使你的日子在耶和华—你上帝所赐你的地上得以长久。

我不至于死，仍要存活，并要传扬耶和华的作为。

你要吩咐他们：‘要这样做：从埃及地带着车辆去，把你们的孩子和妻子，以及你们的父亲都接来。

还有约瑟的全家和他的兄弟们，以及他父亲的家属；只留下他们的孩子和羊群牛群在歌珊地。

雅各说：“我的儿子不可与你们一同下去。他哥哥死了，只剩下他。他若在你们行走的路上遭难，你们就害我白发苍苍、悲悲惨惨下阴间去了。”

你们的孩子，就是你们说要成为掳物的，我必领他们进去，他们就得知你们所厌弃的那地。
