約瑟轉身離開他們，哭了一場，又回來對他們說話，就從他們中間抓了西緬，在他們眼前捆綁他。

以法蓮是我的愛子嗎？是我喜歡的孩子嗎？我每逢責備他，仍深顧念他。因此，我的心腸牽掛着他，我必要憐憫他。這是耶和華說的。

於是約瑟伏在他弟弟便雅憫的頸項上哭，便雅憫也在他的頸項上哭。他又親眾兄弟，伏着他們哭。過後，他的兄弟就和他說話。

我以基督耶穌的心腸切切想念你們眾人，這是神可以為我作證的。

所以，在基督裏若有任何勸勉，若有任何愛心的安慰，若有任何聖靈的團契，若有任何慈悲憐憫，

耶穌看見她哭，並看見與她同來的猶太人也哭，就心裏悲嘆，又甚憂愁，就說：「你們把他安放在哪裏？」他們對他說：「主啊，請你來看。」耶穌哭了。猶太人就說：「你看，他多麼愛他！」其中有人說：「他既然開了盲人的眼睛，難道不能叫這人不死嗎？」耶穌又心裏悲嘆，來到墳墓前。那墳墓是個穴，有一塊石頭擋着。

活孩子的母親為自己的兒子心急如焚，對王說：「求我主把活孩子給那婦人吧，萬不可殺死他！」那婦人說：「這孩子也不歸我，也不歸你，你們就劈了吧！」

以法蓮哪，我怎能捨棄你？以色列啊，我怎能棄絕你？我怎能使你如押瑪？怎能使你如洗扁？我回心轉意，我的憐憫燃了起來。

他放聲大哭，埃及人聽見了，法老家中的人也聽見了。

我一想起你的眼淚，就急切想見你，好讓我滿心快樂。

所以，你們既是神的選民，聖潔、蒙愛的人，要穿上憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔和忍耐。

凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄缺乏，卻關閉了惻隱的心，神的愛怎能住在他裏面呢？

眾人痛哭，抱着保羅的頸項跟他親吻。

所以你們要警醒，記念我三年之久，晝夜不斷地流淚勸戒你們各人。

約瑟備好座車，上歌珊去迎接他的父親以色列。他見到父親，就伏在父親的頸項上，在父親的頸項上哭了許久。

怎樣凡事謙卑，以眼淚服侍主，又因猶太人的謀害經歷試煉。
