When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he spoke to the manager of his house.“ Take these men to my house,” he said.“ Kill an animal and prepare a meal. I want them to eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Bring the men into the house, and slaughter an animal and make ready, for the men are to dine with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the manager of his household,“ These men will eat with me this noon. Take them inside the palace. Then go slaughter an animal, and prepare a big feast.”

約瑟吩咐管家說：「按照他們的驢子所能馱的，把這些人的袋子裝滿糧食，再把各人的銀子放在各人的袋口上，

他們就挨近約瑟的管家，在屋子門口和他說話，

以撒為他們擺設宴席，他們就一起吃喝。

宰殺牲畜，調好美酒，又擺設筵席，

又在山上獻祭，請弟兄們來吃飯。他們吃了飯，就在山上過夜。

我豈可把飲食，以及我為剪羊毛的人所宰的肉給那些我不知道從哪裏來的人呢？」

約瑟就在主人眼前蒙恩，伺候他主人，主人派他管理家務，把一切所有的都交在他手裏。自從主人派約瑟管理家務和他一切所有的，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故賜福給那埃及人的家；凡家裏和田間一切所有的，都蒙耶和華賜福。

亞伯拉罕對他家中管理他一切產業最老的僕人說：「把你的手放在我大腿底下。我要叫你指着耶和華－天和地的神起誓，不要為我兒子娶我所居住的迦南地的女子為妻。你要往我的本地本族去，為我的兒子以撒娶妻。」僕人對他說：「如果那女子不肯跟我來到這地，我必須把你的兒子帶回到你出來的地方嗎？」亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要謹慎，不可帶我兒子回那裏去。耶和華－天上的神曾帶領我離開父家和本族的地，對我說話，向我起誓說：『我要將這地賜給你的後裔。』他要差遣使者在你面前，你就可以從那裏為我兒子娶妻。倘若那女子不肯跟你來，我叫你起的誓就與你無關了，只是你不可帶我的兒子回到那裏去。」僕人就把手放在他主人亞伯拉罕的大腿底下，為這事向他起誓。那僕人從他主人的駱駝中取了十匹駱駝，他手中也帶着他主人各樣的貴重物品離開，起身往美索不達米亞去，到了拿鶴的城。

亞伯蘭說：「主耶和華啊，我還沒有兒子，你能賜我甚麼呢？承受我家業的是大馬士革人以利以謝。」

他們出城走了不遠，約瑟對管家說：「起來，去追那些人，追上了就對他們說：『你們為甚麼以惡報善呢？

孩子漸漸長大，就斷了奶。以撒斷奶的那一天，亞伯拉罕擺設豐盛的宴席。
