禮物為人開路，領人晉見權貴。

現在，請把婢女帶來的禮物分給你的部下吧。

底但人也是你的客商，你的市場遠及沿海一帶，他們拿象牙、烏木來跟你交易。

亞哈斯把耶和華殿裡和王宮庫房裡的金銀送給亞述王。

那天晚上，雅各就在那裡過夜，又挑選牲畜送給哥哥以掃作禮物：母山羊二百隻、公山羊二十隻、母綿羊二百隻、公綿羊二十隻、哺乳的駱駝三十頭及其小駱駝、母牛四十頭、公牛十頭、母驢二十頭、驢駒十頭。雅各把牲畜每類分成一群，交給僕人看管，對他們說：「你們走在前頭，每群牲畜之間要保持一段距離！」又吩咐走在最前面的僕人說：「我哥哥以掃遇到你的時候，如果問你是誰家的人？要到哪裡去？前頭這些牲畜是誰的？你就說，『是僕人雅各要送給他主人以掃的禮物，他自己就跟在後面。』」雅各又吩咐看管第二群、第三群及其餘牲畜的僕人遇見以掃時也要這樣回答，並且一定要說：「你僕人雅各就在後面。」雅各想先用禮物去化解以掃的怨恨，或許見面時以掃會善待他。於是，他派人先把禮物送過去，自己則留在營裡過夜。

得日月之輝，物產豐美；

「我們之間應立盟約，像我們的父親之間立約一樣，現在奉上金銀為禮，請你取消與以色列王巴沙立的盟約。這樣，他就會從我境內退兵。」

我的良人啊，願你像香草山上的羚羊和小鹿，快快來到我身邊！

哪噠和番紅花、菖蒲和肉桂、沒藥和沉香，以及一切上好的香料。你是園中的甘泉，是活水的井，是從黎巴嫩流下來的溪水。北風啊，興起吧！南風啊，吹來吧！吹向我的園子，使它的清香四溢。願我的良人走進自己的園中，享受其中的珍果。我的妹妹，我的新娘啊，我已經來到自己的園中，採了我的沒藥和香料，品嚐了我的蜂房和蜂蜜，也享用了我的美酒和鮮奶。朋友們，盡情吃喝吧。相愛的人啊，沉醉在愛中吧！

便對哈薛說：「你帶著禮物去見上帝的僕人，請他求問耶和華，看看我這病能否痊癒。」

願他施、示巴和西巴的君王都來納貢稱臣。

無知的人才會為他人作保。

君王都帶著禮物來到你耶路撒冷的聖殿。
