Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.”

Then Joseph remembered his dreams about them. So he said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the places where our land isn’t guarded very well.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them. And he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

And he remembered the dreams he’d had about them many years before. He said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see how vulnerable our land has become.”

Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies. You have come to see the weakness of the land.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he had about them, and he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to look at the undefended parts of our land.”

Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

約瑟作了一個夢，把夢告訴哥哥們，他們就越發恨他。約瑟對他們說：“請聽我所作的這個夢：我們正在田間捆麥子，我的麥捆忽然站立起來，你們的麥捆都來圍著我的下拜。”他的哥哥們對他說：“你真的要作我們的王嗎？真的要管轄我們嗎？”他們就為了約瑟的夢和他的話，越發恨他。後來約瑟又作了一個夢，也把夢向哥哥們述說了。他說：“我又作了一個夢，我夢見太陽、月亮和十一顆星向我下拜。”

窺探的人看見一個人從城裡出來，就對他說：“請你把進城的路指示我們，我們必恩待你。”

那兩個年輕密探就進去，把喇合和她的父母、兄弟、她所有的一切，以及她所有的親屬，都領出來，安置在以色列的營外。

耶和華擊殺人民是因為他們敬拜亞倫做的牛犢。

以上是摩西派去窺探那地的人的名字。摩西稱嫩的兒子何西亞為約書亞。摩西派他們去窺探迦南地，對他們說：“你們要從這裡上南地，然後上山地去。看看那地怎樣，住在那裡的人是強是弱，是多是少；看看他們住的地怎樣，是好是壞；看看他們所住的城鎮怎樣，是營地，還是城堡；看看那地怎樣，是肥沃還是貧瘠，那裡有樹木沒有。你們要壯膽，把那地的果子帶些回來。”那時正是葡萄初熟的時候。

然後把你們最小的弟弟帶到我這裡來，我就知道你們不是間諜，而是誠實人了。這樣，我就把你們的兄弟交還給你們，你們也可以在這地自由來往。’”

“你要派人窺探我賜給以色列人的迦南地；按著父家所屬的支派，每支派要派一個人，個個都必須是他們的領袖。”

因著信，妓女喇合和和平平接待了偵察的人，就沒有和那些不順從的人一起滅亡。

經學家和祭司長差派奸細偽裝好人去窺探耶穌，要在他的話上抓著把柄，好把他交由總督全權裁決。

於是，嫩的兒子約書亞從什亭祕密地差派兩個探子，對他們說：“你們去窺探那地，尤其是耶利哥。”二人去了，來到一個名叫喇合的妓女家中，就在那裡住宿。

“那地的主人對我們說了一些嚴厲的話，把我們當作偵察那地的間諜。我們對他說：‘我們是誠實人，並不是間諜。

就派出探子，知道掃羅已經到了納康。

你們可以派你們中間一個人回去，把你們的弟弟帶來；其餘的人都要囚禁起來，好證明你們的話真實不真實。如果不真實，我指著法老的性命起誓，你們就是間諜。”
