But Pharaoh had a pole stuck through the chief baker’s body. Then he had the pole set up. Everything happened just as Joseph had told them when he explained their dreams.

三天之內，法老要抬起你的頭，把頭從你身上取去，然後把你掛在木頭上，而飛鳥將要從你身上吃你的肉。」

至於那奧祕的事顯明給我，不是因為我比所有的活人更有智慧，而是要使王明白那夢的釋義和王心裡的意念。

在同一夜，我和他都做了夢，各夢各有其解。在那裡有一個希伯來少年與我們在一起，是護衛長的奴僕。我們把夢向他講述，他就照著我們各自的夢分別為我們解夢。後來，事情正是像他給我們解釋的那樣發生了：法老使我官復原位，卻把司膳長掛了起來。」

是因為發現但以理裡面有超卓的靈性、有理智、有悟性，還能解夢、講解謎語、解答難題；先王給他起名為伯提沙撒。現在讓人把但以理召來，他必講明那文字的釋義。」

於是這奧祕的事在夜間的異象中顯明給了但以理；但以理就頌讚天上的神。但以理開口說：「願神的名受頌讚，從永遠到永遠，因智慧和大能都屬於他；是他改變時勢和時期；是他廢王、立王；是他賜智慧給智慧人，賜知識給有悟性的人；是他顯明深奧和隱祕的事；他知道黑暗中有什麼，光明也與他同在。我祖先的神哪，我感謝、稱讚你！因為你賜給我智慧和大能；我們向你祈求的，如今你已顯明給我，又把王的事顯明給了我們。」

你們掛在木頭上殺害的耶穌，我們祖先的神已經使他復活了。

他們對他說：「我們各做了一夢，但無人能解。」約瑟就對他們說：「解夢難道不在於神嗎？請給我講述一下吧。」

約瑟就回答法老，說：「不是我，是神要回應法老，關乎法老的平安。」
