And Abel also brought an offering— fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,

因着信，亚伯比该隐献上更美的祭品给神；藉着这信心，他被神称许为义人，这是神指着他的礼物所作的见证；他虽然死了，却藉着信仍然说话。

你要把所有头生的奉献给耶和华，也要把你一切牲畜中所有头生的小牲口奉献给耶和华；公的都属耶和华。

你要把你的财物，和一切初熟的农作物，敬奉耶和华。

按着律法，几乎所有都是用血洁净的，如果没有流血，就没有赦免。

只是头生的牛、头生的绵羊，或是头生的山羊，你不可赎出来；它们都是圣的。你要把它们的血洒在祭坛上，把它们的脂油焚烧，作为献给耶和华馨香的火祭。

愿他记念你的一切素祭，悦纳你的燔祭。（细拉）

于是有耶和华的火降下来，吞灭了燔祭、木柴、石头和尘土，连沟里的水也烧干了。

所有住在地上的人，名字没有记在创世以来被杀的羊羔之生命册上的，都要拜它。

大卫在那里为耶和华筑了一座祭坛，献上燔祭和平安祭；他呼求耶和华，耶和华就应允他，从天上降火在燔祭坛上。

所罗门祷告完了，有火从天上降下来，烧尽了燔祭和其他的祭品；耶和华的荣光充满了那殿。

日落天黑的时候，忽然有冒烟的炉和烧着的火把，从那些肉块中经过。

有火从耶和华面前出来，烧尽了祭坛上的燔祭和脂肪；众民看见了，就大声欢呼，俯伏在地。

最好的油、最好的新酒和五谷，就是以色列人献给耶和华的初熟的物，我都赐给你。

耶和华的使者伸出手中的杖，杖头一触着肉和无酵饼，就有火从磐石中上来，把肉和无酵饼都烧尽了；耶和华的使者就从基甸的眼前消失了。

又有火从耶和华那里出来，把那献香的二百五十个人吞灭了。

而是凭着基督的宝血，就像无瑕疵无玷污的羊羔的血。基督是在创立世界以前，是神所预知的，却在这末后的世代才为你们显现出来。

祭司把这些焚烧在祭坛上，作为馨香火祭的食物。一切脂肪都是属于耶和华的，任何脂肪和血你们都不可吃。这是你们在一切住处一条世代永存的律例。”

你们呼求你们神的名，我也呼求耶和华的名。那降火来显示回答的神就是神了。”众人都回答：“这话说得很好！”
