詭詐的舌頭啊，他會給你甚麼呢？會加給你甚麼呢？

我實在是從希伯來人之地被拐來的，我在這裏也沒有做過甚麼，好叫他們把我關在牢裏。」

隱藏怨恨的，有說謊的嘴唇；口出毀謗的，是愚昧人。

都因仇敵的聲音，惡人的欺壓；他們將罪孽加在我身上，發怒氣加害我。

你這惡名昭彰、混亂的城啊，離你或遠或近的國家都必譏誚你。

凡為攻擊你而造的兵器必無效用；在審判時興起用口舌攻擊你的，你必駁倒他。這是耶和華僕人的產業，是他們從我所得的義；這是耶和華說的。

榮譽或羞辱、惡名或美名。我們似乎是誘惑人的，卻是誠實的；

即使你們為義受苦，也是有福的。不要怕人的威嚇，也不要驚慌；只要心裏奉主基督為聖，尊他為主。有人問你們心中盼望的理由，要隨時準備答覆；不過，要以溫柔、敬畏的心回答。要存無虧的良心，使你們在何事上被毀謗，就在何事上使那些凌辱你們在基督裏有好品行的人自覺羞愧。上帝的旨意若是要你們因行善受苦，這總比因行惡受苦好。因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，就是義的代替不義的，為要引領你們到上帝面前。在肉體裏，他被治死；但在靈裏，他復活了。

兇惡的見證人起來，盤問我所不知道的事。

你們若為基督的名受辱罵是有福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是上帝的靈，在你們身上。你們中間，不可有人因為殺人、偷竊、作惡、好管閒事而受苦。若有人因是基督徒而受苦，不要引以為恥，倒要因這名而歸榮耀給上帝。因為時候到了，審判要從上帝的家開始；若是先從我們開始，那麼，不信從上帝福音的人將有何等的結局呢？「若是義人還僅僅得救，不虔敬和犯罪的人將有何地可站呢？」所以，照上帝旨意受苦的人要一心為善，將自己的靈魂交給那信實的造物主。

你們若因犯罪受責打而忍耐，有甚麼可稱讚的呢？但你們若因行善受苦而忍耐，這在上帝看來是可讚許的。

祭司長和全議會尋找假見證控告耶穌，要處死他。

閃也生了兒子，他是雅弗的哥哥，是希伯人的祖先。

有一個逃脫的人來告訴希伯來人亞伯蘭；亞伯蘭正住在亞摩利人幔利的橡樹那裏。幔利、以實各和亞乃都是弟兄，曾與亞伯蘭結盟。

就用這樣的話對他說：「你帶到我們這裏來的那希伯來僕人進來要調戲我，

這些事以後，約瑟主人的妻子以目送情給約瑟，說：「你與我同寢吧！」

知道公義、將我的訓誨存在心中的人哪，當聽從我！不要怕人的辱罵，也不要因人的毀謗驚惶。

他們開始控告他說：「我們見這人煽惑我們的國民，禁止我們納稅給凱撒，並說自己是基督，是王。」

「人若因我辱罵你們，迫害你們，捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了！
