So he said to him,“ Go and see if all is well with your brothers and with the flocks, and bring word back to me.” Then he sent him off from the Valley of Hebron. When Joseph arrived at Shechem,

So Israel said to him,“ Go to your brothers. See how they are doing. Also see how the flocks are doing. Then come back and tell me.” So he sent him away from the Hebron Valley. Joseph arrived at Shechem.

So he said to him,“ Go now, see if it is well with your brothers and with the flock, and bring me word.” So he sent him from the Valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

“ Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are getting along,” Jacob said.“ Then come back and bring me a report.” So Jacob sent him on his way, and Joseph traveled to Shechem from their home in the valley of Hebron.

Then Israel said to him,“ Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are doing, and bring word back to me.” So he sent him from the Hebron Valley, and he went to Shechem.

Then he said to him,“ Go now and see about the welfare of your brothers and the welfare of the flock, and bring word back to me.” So he sent him from the Valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

Then he said to him,“ Please go and see if it is well with your brothers and well with the flocks, and bring back word to me.” So he sent him out of the Valley of Hebron, and he went to Shechem.

So Jacob said to him,“ Go now and check on the welfare of your brothers and of the flocks, and bring me word.” So Jacob sent him from the valley of Hebron.

He said to him,“ Go now, see whether it is well with your brothers, and well with the flock; and bring me word again.” So he sent him out of the valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

Jacob came home to his father Isaac in Mamre, near Kiriath Arba( that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had stayed. (niv)

( Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba after Arba, who was the greatest man among the Anakites.) Then the land had rest from war. (niv)

and said,“ If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace— but now it is hidden from your eyes. (niv)

But those who turn to crooked ways the Lord will banish with the evildoers. Peace be on Israel. (niv)

She died at Kiriath Arba( that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went to mourn for Sarah and to weep over her. (niv)

So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the Lord. (niv)

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (niv)

They went up through the Negev and came to Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, lived.( Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) (niv)

The king asked the Cushite,“ Is the young man Absalom safe?” The Cushite replied,“ May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up to harm you be like that young man.” (niv)

Now Jesse said to his son David,“ Take this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp.Take along these ten cheeses to the commander of their unit. See how your brothers are and bring back some assurance from them. (niv)

Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance. (niv)

“ I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh,“ but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” (niv)

May the guilt of their blood rest on the head of Joab and his descendants forever. But on David and his descendants, his house and his throne, may there be the Lord’s peace forever.” (niv)
