So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears, and Jacob buried them under the oak at Shechem.

基甸又謂之曰、我求爾一事、以所得之耳環耳環或作鼻環下同予我、蓋敵人為以實瑪利人、垂金耳環、曰、我必予之、遂鋪衣、各以所得之耳環、擲於其中、基甸所求之金耳環、重一千七百舍客勒、約八百五十兩此外又得米甸王所佩之飾、形如月弦、所垂之耳環、所衣之絳衣、並其駝項之金索、基甸用金作以弗得、置於己邑俄弗拉、後、以色列人行邪、崇拜以弗得、陷基甸與其家於網羅、

彼平日奉事諸巴力、為之焚香、以鼻環金索、修飾自好、從愛之者反忘我、故我必罰之、此乃主所言、

以所造之犢、焚以火、搗為粉、灑於水、令以色列人飲之、

當是日人將以崇拜所製之金銀偶像、投諸鼢鼠蝙蝠之穴、

爾當毀其壇、碎其柱像、斫其諸亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶以火焚其偶像、爾之待彼當如是、

其神之偶像、必焚之以火、其上之金銀、勿貪勿取、恐爾陷於網羅、因為主爾之天主所惡者、

爾之偶像、或雕或鑄、飾以金銀者、其時爾必視為視為或作使之污穢、棄之如不潔之物、必曰、此物當擲之於外、

亞倫謂之曰、可往脫爾妻與子女垂耳之金環、攜以給我、於是民眾遂脫垂耳之金環、攜之予亞倫、亞倫由其手受之、以鑄犢、以鑿修之成形、民彼此云、以色列人歟、此即導爾出伊及之神、
