以扫又问：“我遇见的这一群牲畜，是什么意思呢？”雅各回答：“是要讨我主喜悦的。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这些群畜是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是要在我主面前蒙恩的。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这些畜群是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是为了要在我主眼前蒙恩。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这些畜群是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是为了要在我主眼前蒙恩。”

以扫说：“我在路上遇见的那一群群牲畜是怎么回事？”雅各回答说：“我带来这些是要得到我主的恩待。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这一整队，是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是为了在我主眼前蒙恩。”

以掃說：「我所遇見的這些羣畜是甚麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是要在我主面前蒙恩的。」

以掃說：「我所遇見的這些畜羣是甚麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是為了要在我主眼前蒙恩。」

以掃說：「我所遇見的這些畜羣是甚麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是為了要在我主眼前蒙恩。」

以掃說：「我在路上遇見的那一群群牲畜是怎麼回事？」雅各回答說：「我帶來這些是要得到我主的恩待。」

以掃又問：“我遇見的這一群牲畜，是甚麼意思呢？”雅各回答：“是要討我主喜悅的。”

以掃說：『我所遇見的這一整隊的牲畜，是甚麼意思啊？』雅各說：『是要求我主賞臉的。』

以掃說：「我所遇見的這一整隊，是什麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是為了在我主眼前蒙恩。」

以掃曰、我所遇之羣畜何意、曰、望沾恩於主、

以掃曰、適見群畜、不知何意。曰、望沾恩於主。

以掃曰、我所遇之群畜、爾何意、曰、欲蒙我主之恩、奉於我主、原文作欲獲恩於主前

Esau asked,“ What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?”“ To find favor in your eyes, my lord,” he said.

Esau asked,“ Why did you send all those herds I saw?”“ I hoped I could do something to please you,” Jacob replied.

Esau said,“ What do you mean by all this company that I met?” Jacob answered,“ To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

“ And what were all the flocks and herds I met as I came?” Esau asked. Jacob replied,“ They are a gift, my lord, to ensure your friendship.”

So Esau said,“ What do you mean by this whole procession I met?”“ To find favor with you, my lord,” he answered.

And he said,“ What do you mean by all this company which I have met?” And he said,“ To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

Then Esau said,“ What do you mean by all this company which I met?” And he said,“ These are to find favor in the sight of my Lord.”

And he said, What meanest thou by all this company which I met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my lord.

So Esau said,“ What do you mean by this whole procession I met?”“ To find favor with you, my lord,” he answered.

And he said, What[ meanest] thou by all this drove which I met? And he said,[ These are] to find grace in the sight of my lord.

Esau then asked,“ What did you intend by sending all these herds to meet me?” Jacob replied,“ To find favor in your sight, my lord.”

Esau said,“ What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said,“ To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

我拥有牛、驴、羊群、仆婢，现在派人来报告我主，希望得到你的欢心。’”

王爱以斯帖超过所有其他的女子；在所有的处女中，她在王的面前，最得王的恩宠与喜爱；王把王后的冠冕戴在她头上，立她为王后，代替瓦实提。

自从主人指派约瑟管理他的家，和他所有的一切，耶和华就因约瑟的缘故，赐福给那埃及人的家。他家里和田间所有的一切，都蒙耶和华赐福。

那天晚上，雅各在那里过夜。然后从他所拥有的牲畜中，取出一部分，作为给他哥哥以扫的礼物，就是母山羊二百只、公山羊二十只、母绵羊二百只、公绵羊二十只、哺乳的母骆驼三十匹，各带着驹子，母牛四十头、公牛十头、母驴二十头、公驴十头。雅各把这些分成一队一队，交在仆人的手里，又对仆人说：“你们先过去，每队之间要留一段距离。”他又吩咐走在最前的仆人说：“我哥哥以扫遇见你的时候，如果问你：‘你的主人是谁？你要到哪里去？在你前面的这些牲畜是谁的？’你就要回答：‘是你仆人雅各的，是送给我主以扫的礼物，他自己也在我们后面。’”他又吩咐第二个、第三个和所有跟在队伍后面的人说：“你们遇见以扫的时候，都要这样对他说。你们还要说：‘你的仆人雅各在我们后面。’”因为他心里想：“我先送礼物去，藉此与他和解，然后再与他见面，或者他会原谅我﹙“他会原谅我”或译：“他会接纳我”﹚。”
