其实，凡立志在基督耶稣里敬虔度日的，也都将受迫害。

求你救我脱离我哥哥的手，脱离以扫的手，因为我怕他来杀我，连母亲和儿女都不放过。

施恩与人、借贷与人、秉公处事的人必享美福，

法老逼近的时候，以色列人举目，看哪，埃及人追来了，就非常惧怕，以色列人向耶和华哀求。

我心里发昏的时候，要从地极求告你。求你领我到那比我更高的磐石，

我听见许多人的毁谤，四围尽是惊吓；他们一同商议攻击我，图谋害我的性命。

弟兄们，我们不要你们不知道，我们从前在亚细亚遭遇苦难，因受到无法忍受的压力，甚至连活命的指望都没有了。自己心里也断定是必死无疑，这是要使我们不依靠自己，只依靠使死人复活的上帝。他曾救我们脱离那极大的死亡，他要继续救我们，而且我们指望他将来还要救我们。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们持守他们的信仰，说：“我们进入上帝的国，必须经历许多艰难。”

他的上帝教导他，指导他合宜的方法。

智谋要庇护你，聪明必保护你，

我们在一切患难中，他安慰我们，使我们能用上帝所赐的安慰去安慰那些遭各样患难的人。

求你留意向我右边观看，无人认识我；我无避难之处，也无人眷顾我。

我对你们说了这些事，是要使你们在我里面有平安。在世上你们有苦难，但你们要有勇气，我已经胜过世界。”

我的心在我里面阵痛，死亡的恐怖落在我身。恐惧战兢临到了我，惊恐笼罩我。
