When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.

The man saw that he couldn’t win. So he touched the inside of Jacob’s hip. As Jacob wrestled with the man, Jacob’s hip was twisted.

When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him.

When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket.

When the man saw that he could not defeat him, he struck Jacob’s hip socket as they wrestled and dislocated his hip.

When the man saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated while he wrestled with him.

And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was strained, as he wrestled with him.

When the man saw that He could not defeat him, He struck Jacob’s hip socket as they wrestled and dislocated his hip.

And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

When he saw that he didn’t prevail against him, the man touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was strained as he wrestled.

Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank.

Now in my prosperity I said,“ I shall never be moved.”Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.

“ Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the Lord And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

And Moses said to the Lord:“ Then the Egyptians will hear it, for by Your might You brought these people up from among them,and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

And His disciples came and urged Him, saying,“ Send her away, for she cries out after us.”But He answered and said,“ I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”Then she came and worshiped Him, saying,“ Lord, help me!”But He answered and said,“ It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”And she said,“ Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”Then Jesus answered and said to her,“ O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

Thus says the Lord, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker:“ Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.

So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

And He said to them,“ Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him,‘ Friend, lend me three loaves;for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’;and he will answer from within and say,‘ Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’?I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
