He answered,“ I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

The man replied,“ I heard you moving about in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”

The man said,“ I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; so I hid myself.”

Adam and his wife were both naked. They didn’t feel any shame.

“ Who are you so afraid of that you have not been faithful to me? You have not remembered me. What you do doesn’t even bother you. I have not punished you for a long time. That is why you are not afraid of me.
